An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly organised and numerate Finance Assistant to join a small finance team providing financial management services to the Department of Experimental Psychology.
This is a key role providing a full range of accounts, purchase to pay processing and record keeping responsibilities. The post-holder will provide support to the Finance Manager in all day-to-day matters including provision of information for management reporting, and occasionally taking the lead on small projects to implement new processes and procedures.
The post is a permanent, full-time position. Located in the new, purpose-built Life and Mind Building ((Home I Life and Mind Building) a multidisciplinary research and teaching facility.
You must be educated to at least GCSE or equivalent, with a financial qualification or experience in a finance role. Excellent communication and IT skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential requirements as well as a tactful and confidential approach. Experience of financial administration within the University and knowledge of its financial procedures would be an advantage.
