We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and team-oriented individuals to appoint into the posts of Family Help Officer as part of Nottinghamshire's Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The front door has been on a journey of re design and the addition and expansion of this role will play a crucial part in ensuring needs and services are identified for our children and families of Nottinghamshire .

You will have knowledge and experience of working in a children and families environment with a customer service focus. You will need to be highly organised, have excellent time management skills, be able to work towards and meet deadlines and be able to build up excellent interpersonal relationships with colleagues, partner agencies and service users alike .

This role will be the first point of contact for families, carers and partner agencies and so the ideal candidate will be able to manager difficult conversations tactfully, respectfully and effectively over the telephone. Therefore you will need excellent listening, recording and typing skills to record information accurately onto our internal database system (Mosaic).

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview. A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.

Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself on being accredited as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.

Therefore, the County Council encourages applications from all, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
