Facilities Services is part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate, delivering in-house soft FM services within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, across Nottinghamshire.
We are looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant who will provide a clean, safe environment at Lings bar hospital. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a high quality service.
As a Hospital Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital. Your responsibilities will include:
Working in our main stores, delivering and collecting items from around the hospital (linen, waste, goods, property, etc.)
Operating within the internal postal service
Assisting with office or ward relocations
Working in our waste management centre
Collaborating closely with the morgue team
Working closely with clinical staff to support patient care
Core Hours:
Between 08:30 - 20:30
Working shifts up to 5 days over 7 days (including weekends and bank holidays)
Shift pattern will be discussed at the interview

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
