We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a experience cook. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of food safety and quality while contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality meals.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant setting.
- Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
