Contract: 12 month FTC
About the Role
How you will contribute:
Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations for European road freight shipments.
Procure accurate and cost-effective quotations from suppliers.
Provide competitive and timely quotations to clients.
Process customer bookings using internal IT systems.
Provide timely ETAs and shipment updates using CONNECT milestones.
Validate customs documents prior to clearance submission.
Complete billing and purchase invoicing by month-end.
Ensure compliance with SOPs and promote best practices across the department.
Act as a backup for team members when required.
Escalate issues to the EU General Manager as needed.
Maintain accurate job filing and ensure timely responses to correspondence.
Provide full handovers for planned absences or holidays.
Monitor profit and loss for assigned accounts and ensure business interests are upheld.
What you will bring
Qualifications
GCSEs or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 2 years in freight forwarding.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Understanding of customs processes and operational logistics.
Skills
Strong communication skills – clear, tactful, and confident across all levels.
Problem-solving – creative and persistent in finding solutions.
Detail-oriented – meticulous and thorough in all tasks.
Critical thinking – quick learner with strong analytical skills.

Flexibility to travel – willing to travel 30–50% globally.
Languages – fluent in German and English; Dutch and French are a plus.
