We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Freight Forwarder - part time - 2h / day, to join our TC UK team in Luton.
This role focuses on road freight operations across Europe, with a strong emphasis on Automotive, Aerospace, Construction, Environmental, and Military industries. You will be responsible for end-to-end shipment coordination, ensuring seamless logistics while maintaining strong customer relationships. As a P&L owner, you will have financial responsibility for your department, with an incentive scheme based on Gross Profit (GP). Additionally, you will be expected to generate business for other company branches.

Key Responsibilities:
- Road Freight Operations: Manage and coordinate shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective transport solutions.
- Customer & Haulier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and third-party carriers to ensure smooth operations.
- Business Development: Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities to expand the company’s market presence.
- Profit & Loss (P&L) Management: Take ownership of departmental financial performance, working towards set GP targets.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all transport regulations, customs documentation, and company policies are followed.
- Problem-Solving & Crisis Management: Address any issues that arise during transportation, using initiative and critical thinking.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including finance, sales, and planning, to optimize efficiency and service delivery.
- Performance Monitoring: Track key metrics to ensure high customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
About You:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in freight forwarding, transport, or logistics, with a strong background in road freight.
- Languages: Bilingual French-English required. A third European language is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of road transport regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of managing business growth initiatives.
- Decision-Making: Ability to act decisively and effectively under pressure.
- Team Player: Proactive, hands-on, and collaborative with colleagues and external partners.
- IT Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn logistics software quickly.
