About the job.

National Highways have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to join our Road Safety team in the Yorkshire North East region.

The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary role in the Road Safety team which will include developing schemes, identification of safety problems and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. You will also take part in/lead road safety audits, post collision investigations and be offered training where required to fulfil your duties.

At National Highways you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for the customers that use and live alongside England’s biggest road networks. You will support the delivery of the Safe Systems approach and work with internal and external stakeholders including Road Safety Partnerships to deliver interventions that will lead directly to a reduction in collisions.

This role will be based from our Wakefield Office.

You will be required to drive as part of your role and you will need to have a full driving license, with no more than 3 points, to be considered for this position.

About you.
