We are seeking a proactive Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR team at Hillier, based at our Ampfield site near Romsey, Hampshire. This is a 10-month fixed-term role to cover maternity leave, offering a valuable opportunity to expand your expertise in a supportive, collaborative environment.
You will work closely with managers across the business, advising on a range of employee relations matters including conduct, capability, absence, and informal resolution. This role is ideal for someone with a solid HR foundation who is ready to take on more responsibility in casework and advisory support.
We welcome applications from candidates interested in either full-time or part-time working arrangements. The role offers a salary of up to £33,000 per annum, dependant on experience and pro-rated for part-time hours.
Key responsibilities:
- Support and oversee employee relations cases across all areas of the business
- Provide clear, practical advice to managers on HR policies and procedures
- Help ensure consistent and fair application of policies and processes
- Attend in-person meetings across sites to support casework and resolution
- Contribute to a collaborative HR team and learn from experienced colleagues
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in an HR role, with exposure to employee relations casework
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) achieved or in progress
- Strong communication skills and a professional, empathetic approach
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, professional case related correspondence
- Interest in developing deeper expertise in employee relations
- Understanding of UK employment law and HR processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Flexibility to travel across sites when required (pool car provided)
