JOB OVERVIEW - Employability Tutor
JFC Training College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Employability Tutor to deliver engaging, practical 2-day workshops to support our learners in becoming job-ready. You’ll run interactive sessions that build confidence, develop employability skills, and improve learner outcomes into work, apprenticeships, or further training.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-designed or custom 2-day employability workshops to groups of learners (aged 18+)
- Facilitate engaging sessions on CV writing, job applications, interview techniques, and workplace expectations
- Support learners in developing confidence, communication skills, and understanding of job market expectations
- Provide feedback and action plans to learners for further development
- Maintain attendance and brief progress records after each session
CANDIDATE SKILLS - Employability Tutor
What we are looking for:
- Experience delivering employability or career-focused workshops
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills
- Understanding of current labour market and employer expectations
- Able to inspire and motivate learners from a range of backgrounds
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
Qualifications – Employability Tutor
- Minimum Level 3 Teaching Qualification (e.g. AET, PTLLS or above)
- Qualification in Employability, Advice & Guidance, or related subject
To be eligible for this role, the potential Tutor must:
- Hold the right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional references.
