Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and developing the early learning experiences of children in our care. This position requires a strong commitment to fostering a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for young learners, ensuring their holistic development through play-based learning and structured activities.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships and support children's learning.
- Manage classroom behaviour by establishing clear rules and expectations while promoting respect and cooperation among children.
- Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
- Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience across the nursery setting.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of early years education within the setting.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Qualifications
- A level 2 qualification in childcare would be desirable.
- Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and guide both children and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for working with children and an understanding of their developmental needs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive environment that respects diversity.
