Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our nursery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves managing the daily activities within the nursery, fostering a nurturing environment that supports children's development and learning through play. The Early Years Educator will communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive experience for all.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children.
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress and well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment that supports shared goals in childcare.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and overall quality of care.
Qualifications
- A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and staff.
- A genuine passion for childcare and early years education, demonstrating a drive to support children's learning journeys.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of taking initiative when required.
