Our Driver & General Assistant role:
We are seeking a proactive, dependable Driver & General Assistant to support daily operations at our 4-star hotel located in a remote area. This multifaceted role involves safely transporting guests and staff, assisting in logistics, team accommodation maintenance and supporting general hotel tasks to ensure smooth and high-quality service delivery.
As our Driver & General Assistant you'll be;
Driving Duties:
- Safely driving guests and staff to and from airports, tourist destinations, and local areas.
- Maintaining hotel vehicles ensuring excellent condition, including daily inspections, cleaning, fueling, and reporting maintenance needs.
- Assisting guests with luggage handling and providing friendly, professional service during transport.
- Managing delivery and pickup of supplies, laundry, and mail as needed.
- Keeping accurate records of trips, fuel usage, and vehicle servicing.
General Assistance Duties:
- Assisting in various hotel departments (housekeeping, front office, kitchen, maintenance) as needed, including:
- Setting up for events or guest arrivals
- Handling luggage or equipment
- Supporting deliveries and inventory movement
- Performing simple cleaning or restocking tasks
- Responding quickly and flexibly to operational needs or special requests.
- Reporting any guest issues, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards promptly.
- Helping housekeeping with lifting and driving linen to and forth to hotel from laundry.
- Supporting the maintenance team to carry out fixes when directed by line manager or GM.
- Supporting during emergencies (power outages, roadblocks, weather disruptions) with a calm and solution-oriented approach
The skills you'll be sharing with us:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Personal Taxi License (fees will be paid for)
- Prior experience in a similar role (driver, general assistant, or hospitality operations).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Physically fit and able to lift, carry, or assist with light manual work.
- Responsible, trustworthy, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
It would also be great if:
- You have experience working in a hotel or lodge setting.
- You are familiar with driving in off-road or remote conditions.
- You have basic knowledge of general hotel operations or maintenance tasks.
- You are multilingual or basic English-speaking skills (for guest interaction).
- You have First Aid or emergency response knowledge.
