D-HIVE logistics have a fantastic opportunity to join their expanding team where you can make a real difference to people in the local communities of Derbyshire and beyond.
We are looking for reliable, experienced Van Drivers to work on permanent contract basis and work alongside our team of 34 staff in our logistics hub based in Derby - DE24.
Job Title: Driver
Reports to: Logistics Manager
Role Purpose:
· Delivery and collection of medical supplies, medical records and consumables on set routes across various geographical areas to healthcare provider sites.
What we're looking for:
· Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
· Experience in multi drop, time sensitive deliveries.
· Good written and verbal communication with the ability to work alone.
· Previously used PDA handheld devices, but not essential as full training will be given.
· A professional and responsible approach to handling sensitive materials with strong attention to detail and excellent reliability due to the sensitive nature of the cargos that are carried.
· Need to be physically fit for manually loading/unloading boxes, packages and mailbags as well as samples and temperature-controlled bags.
· Experience of driving different sizes, makes and models of vans depending upon operational needs.
· Requirement for sitting in a vehicle for prolonged periods of the working day.
· Someone with good geographical knowledge.
· Flexibility and willingness to learn different routes.
· Good time management and strong customer service skills.
· Warehouse work may also be included in this job role - This includes working at height so a MEWP licence would be an advantage, or full training will be given.
