Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Door Supervisor to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and patrons. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage crowd control, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Door Supervisor will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring compliance with licensing laws.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrance and exit points to ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to identify any suspicious behaviour or potential threats.
- Implement crowd control measures during peak times or special events to maintain order.
- Perform thorough checks of identification to prevent underage entry and ensure compliance with licensing regulations.
- Respond promptly to incidents, providing first aid assistance when necessary and liaising with emergency services as required.
- Collaborate with management to develop and enforce security policies and procedures aimed at preventing loss and ensuring safety.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, interventions, and any relevant observations during shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security role or as a Door Supervisor is preferred.
- Strong understanding of CCTV operations and surveillance techniques.
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies and best practices.
- First Aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups of people.
- A professional appearance and demeanour, demonstrating reliability and integrity at all times.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing potentially challenging situations.
