Our welcoming day centre provides vibrant and supportive environment for individuals aged 60 and over. We offer a variety of engaging activities and serve a delicious sit down three course meal daily. Our aim is to reduce social isolation, promote wellbeing and help members enjoy everyday.
The Role
We are looking for a Deputy Supervisor and Activities Co-Ordinator to play a key role in delivering meaningful, enjoyable days for our members. You will support the centre manager in the daily running of the Centre and take the lead in planning, organising and delivering a varied programme of activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in daily operations and supervision of the day centre.
- Plan and lead fun, stimulating activities including games, arts, gentle exercise, music, quizzes and more.
- Liaise with volunteers, external entertainers and guest speakers.
- Promote social interaction and inclusion among members.
- Ensure a warm welcoming and respectful environment for all.
- Support with meal service, ensuring members are comfortable and assisted if needed.
- Support kitchen staff as and when required.
- Maintain accurate records and reports when required.
What we are looking for
- Must hold valid in date drivers licence and insurance.
- Experience working with older people or in a community based setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills creative, energetic, and empathetic personality.
- Good organisational skills and ability to work as a team.
- Flexibility and a hands on approach.
- First Aid and Safeguarding knowledge (training can be provided)
