Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate deputy manager within a residential children’s home to join our team in providing exceptional support and care. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with daily operations within the team whilst supporting the registered manager including overseeing the home in their absence. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage care plans effectively, completing documentation to a high standard while supervising staff and collaborating with professionals and families.
Duties
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualised care plans for young people.
- Adhering legislationa me supporting staff to develop.
- Supervise and support staff members, ensuring adherence to care standards and protocols.
- Provide direct Support to young people with everyday tasks such as health and well-being, education etc.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in senior care.
- Foster a positive environment.

Skills
- Proven experience in senior care roles in residential children’s homes.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in supervising staff and managing teams effectively.
- Knowledge of legislation that underpins service.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact compassionately with young people and their network.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organisational skills, with attention to detail in maintaining records and documentation.
- A caring attitude towards residents, demonstrating empathy and respect for their dignity and autonomy.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
