Job Description

We’re looking for a Data Test Automation Engineer to help us ensure the integrity and performance of our data platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a supportive and inclusive team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and maintaining test automation frameworks for back-end data platforms
- Collaborating with engineers and analysts to define acceptance criteria and test scenarios
- Creating automated tests to validate features and identify defects
- Documenting test plans and results clearly and effectively
- Supporting root cause analysis and providing feedback to development teams
- Participating in code reviews and ensuring compliance with group standards
- Identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in test automation
- Embedding fairness and value in our data applications for all customers
Qualifications
Who we’re looking for:
- Demonstrating experience in testing back-end data solutions, including data streaming
- Applying strong Python and SQL skills in test automation
- Building tests within CI/CD pipelines and using version control tools like Git
- Communicating technical concepts clearly across cross-functional teams
- Working effectively in Agile environments
- Understanding data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Docker)
- Showing knowledge of shell scripting and serverless technologies (e.g. Lambda, Step Functions)
- Holding a relevant degree or equivalent experience in data engineering or software testing
