Customer Service Representative
Kennametal in Newport is currently recruiting a Customer Service Representative. The purpose of the role is to undertake all sales office administrative functions and maintain effective communications with the sales team, customers other Kennametal sites and agents.
Duties to include but not limited to:
- Preparing quotations
- Liaising with Machine Shop for lead times and cost information
- Raising production orders
- Shipping and invoicing all orders, ensuring that the correct documentation is in place
- Preparing BOMs, routings, cost roll-ups and work files
- Liaising with customers, agents and production departments to ensure that all orders are shipped to the agreed production schedule and ensuring that all parties are kept informed in cases where schedules are changed
- Maintaining accurate and up to date paperwork and electronic files of all orders and deliveries including freight costs, ensuring each delivery can be traced back to the original order
- Maintaining accurate and up to date paperwork and electronic files of all imports and exports
- Maintaining customer files and records
- Acting as a key point of contact between the Sales team and Machine Shop
- Managing inter-plant replenishment and the washed boats process
- General reception and administration duties
Requirements:
- Experience of working in an office environment in a customer facing role
- Experience of order processing
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel
- Knowledge and understanding of export procedures, shipping and transport documentation preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP
Hours of Work and Benefits:
