Who are we?

IOG, is a technology company focused on Blockchain research and development. We are renowned for our scientific approach to blockchain development, emphasizing peer-reviewed research and formal methods to ensure security, scalability, and sustainability. Our projects include decentralized finance (DeFi), governance, and identity management, aiming to advance the capabilities and adoption of blockchain technology globally.

We invest in the unknown, applying our curiosity and desire for positive change to everything we do. By fueling creativity, innovation, and progress within our teams, our products and services are designed for people to be fearless, to be changemakers.

What the role involves:

The primary purpose of this role is to improve team performance. You will achieve this by creating, enhancing, and maintaining a data-driven system (in collaboration with the Culture Officer) to diagnose and enhance team dynamics, directly impacting the success rate of our ventures, and enhancing the performance of our service and business unit teams. A portion of your time (25%) will also be dedicated to crafting clear internal communications that ensure our employees are informed, engaged, and inspired.

Success in this role means that our team diagnostic tool becomes a sought-after resource for building high-performing teams. Ultimately, you are seen as a trusted expert whose work in both data and communication measurably improves how our company operates.

Culture & Team Dynamics (75% Focus)

  • Own the creation of a new team diagnostic tool, from initial research and hypothesis testing to a validated, launch-ready version that can be used by our teams.
  • Establish a performance baseline by testing the diagnostic with our highest-performing internal teams and new ventures, providing a clear picture of what success looks like.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to venture founders and internal team leads, using data from your diagnostic to provide clear, actionable recommendations that help them build more effective teams.
  • Develop and execute the communication plan for this initiative, ensuring leaders and teams understand its value and are engaged in the process.
  • Build and maintain the core database that powers this tool, analyzing data to generate insights that will shape our long-term approach to team building.

Internal Communications (25% Focus)

  • Draft and publish clear, compelling company-wide communications, including announcements and intranet updates, in partnership with the Internal Comms team.
  • Support key organizational projects by developing their communication plans, ensuring employees are informed and prepared for change.
  • Help shape the voice of our leadership by assisting with talking points and messaging for company-wide meetings and internal events.

Requirements

Who you are:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as Communications, Psychology, Business, or Organizational Development) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in a role focused on organizational culture, team effectiveness, internal communications, or change management.
  • A proven track record of managing projects from concept to completion, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to get things done.
  • Demonstrable experience translating complex information - like data, strategy, or technical details - into clear, simple, and persuasive communications.
  • Research Execution & Analysis: Skilled in executing research plans and deploying methods such as surveys and interviews to gather data and generate credible, actionable insights.
  • Clear & Concise Writing: Demonstrated ability to craft precise, engaging communications for various audiences—from company-wide announcements to detailed analytical reports.
  • Digital Communication Tools: Proficient in using internal communication platforms, including email systems, intranets, and presentation tools, to effectively share information and drive engagement.
  • Project Ownership: Experienced in leading projects from concept to completion, managing timelines, stakeholders, and resources to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Change Management: Capable of driving organizational change by fostering awareness, building buy-in, and supporting successful adoption of new initiatives.
  • Strategic Thinking: Adept at aligning day-to-day work with broader business objectives, ensuring all efforts contribute to long-term impact.
  • Influencing & Persuasion: Strong interpersonal skills to build trust, communicate value, and influence leaders and teams to take action.
  • Consulting & Advising: Acts as a trusted advisor, listening to needs and providing thoughtful, data-informed recommendations that enable team success.
  • Storytelling: Able to distill complex data and abstract ideas into clear, compelling narratives that resonate and inspire.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in fast-paced, shifting environments—able to switch seamlessly between analytical deep-dives and communication strategy.

Benefits

  • Remote work
  • Laptop reimbursement
  • New starter package to buy hardware essentials (headphones, monitor, etc)
  • Learning & Development opportunities
  • Competitive PTO and Sick Leave plan
