As a Counter staff member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that customers have a positive dining experience while adhering to food safety standards and culinary excellence.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently.
- Assist in food preparation and ensure all items are prepared according to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, kitchen, and dining space.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for billing.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain hygiene standards at all times.
- Provide assistance to customers with any inquiries or special requests.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with culinary practices and food preparation techniques is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when required.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer interaction.

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour
