Position: Assistant Counter Assistant
Job Description:
The Counter Assistant is responsible for providing basic healthcare advice to customers, recommending over the counter treatments where suitable. You will be responsible for handing out prescription medication to patients or their representatives, always working to the pharmacy's standard operating procedures.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
- Answering phones and providing excellent customer service to patients and customers
- Maintaining cleanliness of the counter area, store, and work areas
- Selling over the counter medicines to the public in a safe manner under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Restocking products as needed and following up with items that are out of stock
- Opening/closing duties as well as other daily responsibilities
- Other tasks, as assigned by the manager, to include inventory, cashier, cleaning, and other duties as needed or assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including weekends, and holiday cover.
- Previous experience in pharmacy preferred.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with customers and staff. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Must possess good listening skills. Must possess strong phone skills in order to effectively communicate with staff and customers. Must possess strong verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate with customers.
- Possess basic math skills and be able to calculate amounts of money and time.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
