We are a friendly and supportive residential care home dedicated to providing high-quality care in a warm and homely environment. We are currently looking for a caring and reliable Part-Time Cook to join our kitchen team and help deliver nutritious, home-cooked meals for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve well-balanced meals according to residents’ dietary needs and preferences
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness at all times
- Work closely with the care team to plan and adapt menus
- Manage food stock and kitchen supplies effectively
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment
- Follow care home policies and food safety regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cook (care home or similar environment preferred)
- Understanding of food hygiene and dietary requirements (including allergens, soft foods, etc.)
- Food Safety Level 2 certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Caring, respectful attitude toward elderly residents
- Flexible and reliable with good time management skills
