Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our kitchen team as a Cook. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our culinary offerings meet the highest standards of quality and presentation, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food output.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
- Provide support in serving meals during peak service times, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous kitchen experience is essential, preferably in a Care home setting.
- Culinary experience with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of IDDSI diets
- Experience in meal preparation and serving will be considered an advantage.
