Job Summary
We are seeking for skilled Concrete Finishers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques and possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This role involves preparing and finishing concrete surfaces for various construction projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning and levelling the area.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete according to specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools to finish concrete surfaces, ensuring smoothness and uniformity.
- Apply sealants, curing compounds, or other treatments to enhance the durability of finished surfaces.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including carpenters and masons, to ensure project timelines are met.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during the mixing and pouring processes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Kurbing / Slabbing / Drainage, All aspects of Concrete finishing required
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment and tools.
- Proficiency in welding techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in heavy lifting tasks associated with construction activities.
- Familiarity with commercial driving may be beneficial for transporting materials on-site.
- Background in carpentry or masonry is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Experience in roofing may also be considered an asset.
