Overview
We are looking for a cook for our community lunch. The food we serve is simple, hearty and fresh. Soup to start. Mains such as shepherd's pie, lasagne, and curry and rice are very popular. Once a month there is a dessert instead of a starter, such as apple crumble, trifle, or Eton mess.
At Christmas we serve a three course Christmas Lunch. This is attended by a larger number of people, with additional staff and volunteers
Responsibilities:
Ensure food safety standards are met throughout the food preparation process.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
Working with the manager to choose the menu each week.
Cooking lunch for approximately 20 people.
Experience:
- Proven experience working as a Cook in a restaurant or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices
- Experience cooking for large numbers at once is essential.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.

Pay: £12.60 per hour
Expected hours: 5 per week
