Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Turner Setter/Programmer to join our precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Fanuc-controlled lathes and be confident in setting, programming, and operating both sliding head and/or fixed head machines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set, operate, and program CNC turning lathes using Fanuc controls
- Work from engineering drawings to produce precision components
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout production
- Perform first-off inspections and adjust programs/settings as needed
- Optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality
- Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and safe working environment
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner (Setter/Programmer)
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls
- Experience with sliding head (e.g., Star, Citizen) and/or fixed head lathes (Preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience in a precision engineering or subcontract machining environment
- Basic understanding of ISO quality standards
