Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team at Tinderbox. Princes Square. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and food safety will ensure that our customers enjoy a delightful experience every time they visit.
This role is for weekends - overtime is possible once successful completion of training
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist in food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to health regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Handle cash transactions and perform basic math calculations for order totals.
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and encourage repeat visits.
Experience
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is beneficial.
- Basic math skills are required for handling transactions accurately.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £7.55-£12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
