Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Clinic Correspondence Administrator to process daily correspondence received from secondary care and other clinical providers. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a clinical setting, clear understanding of medical terminology, strong administrative skills and a commitment to providing exceptional support to both staff and patients.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily clinical correspondence administrative functions of the surgery, ensuring efficient operations.
- Process clinical letters within EMIS Web, code clinical details as per protocol. Identify which documents require viewing by GP or Clinical Pharmacist
- Maintain patient records and ensure data entry is accurate and up-to-date.
- Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate patient care and communication, use of telephone, NHS Mail and Accurx text messaging to invite patients to follow up care.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean, organised office environment.
Skills
- Proven office experience with a focus on clinical administrative tasks.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting/role is preferred. A strong understanding of medical terminology
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with data entry and maintaining accurate records.
- The ability to read clinical letters and to filter the relevant information for coding.
- Typing skills with keen attention to detail.
- Previous clerical experience is preferred but not mandatory.
