Christmas Elf
Rate of Pay: £17.00 per hour dependent on experience
Hours: 25 - 35 hours per week (Wednesday – Sunday) depending on business need throughout November and December.
The International Centre for Life is a thriving science hub in the heart of Newcastle. Its purpose is to inspire everyone to explore and enjoy science and to provide a world class science hub where life enhancing engagement, research and clinical treatment can thrive. Life is home to NHS clinics as well as scientists and researchers from Newcastle University. Life Science Centre is at the heart of this ‘circle of science’ and aspires to be most accessible and inclusive visitor attraction in the UK. It has an international reputation for its work in sensory engagement.
The festive season is just around the corner, and we are looking for outgoing individuals who can embrace the spirit of Christmas and help our visitors have an unforgettable time!
As Santa’s favourite elf, you will play a key role in creating magical and memorable moments for everyone who visits Life. Duties include greeting adults and young children, performing in a short show which includes fun festive demos, sharing hot chocolates with some very excited children and listening to their Christmas ideas ahead of the big day!
You will be someone lively, energetic, and with a sense of humour. If you love making people smile and enjoy entertaining others, you will fit right in. Performing skills is a must have, and if you can sing, that’s a fantastic bonus.
You must be available throughout November and December, Wednesdays - Sundays. Costumes will be provided plus training.
