Aropa Care Group is seeking a Residential Support Worker on a permanent basis for our 4-bed children's home in Briton Ferry, Neath. The home accommodates children and young people between the ages of 8 to 17 who have social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.
We provide quality homes for individuals, offering an atmosphere that promotes security, trust, fairness, and privacy for its young residents within a safe and caring environment. It is important that candidates are committed to working with children and young people.
The home offers an environment with a child-centred approach to help them regain balance in their lives and prepare them for the next stage, whether returning to their family, moving to foster care, or transitioning to independent living.
As a Support Worker, you will set boundaries for individuals displaying challenging or emotional behaviour while developing relationships built on mutual trust. You will also provide practical care to increase their independent living skills, promote self-esteem and self-awareness, encourage achievement, and help them reach their full potential.
While the role of a Support Worker offers variety, progression opportunities, and training, it requires a dedicated and committed individual to succeed. Experience is not essential, but a positive attitude, friendly demeanour, and caring nature are necessary.
If you are looking for a challenge and wish to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people, we are interested in hearing from you.
