Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Positive Behavioural Support Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for working with adults who have learning difficulties and behaviours that challenge. As a PBS Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our Service Users, and supporting staff in delivering high-quality care. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver practical staff training to Tier 1 PBS level;
- Work with all staff teams in the Company homes monitoring Service Users’ behaviours;
- Data input and the generation of spreadsheets;
- Generate reports of quantitative and qualitative data;
- Debrief staff following incidents;
- Meet Service Users regularly to address mental health issues;
- Work in liaison with Redmarley clinical staff;
- Be on call for 1 weekend every month.
- Lead and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Foster a positive environment that encourages positive behavioural support.
- Communicate effectively with parents, regulatory bodies, stakeholders and guardians regarding progress and any concerns.
- Manage daily activities, including planning and implementing support programmes.
- Ensure the safety and mental health well-being of all the Service Users in your care.
- Provide guidance and support to staff, promoting professional development.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, and any other relevant documentation.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided within our homes.
- You will need a clean driving licence as some travel between our Forest of Dean homes will be necessary.
Experience
- A recognised qualification or extensive experience in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Experience working in a similar environment is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A background in managing behavioural operations would be an advantage.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports diverse needs.
