Job Title: Casual Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home
Location: Leeds, UK
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
Shift Pattern: 24-hour shifts (sleep-in shifts)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a confident, caring, and experienced Residential Support Worker to join our team and support children and young people in a Children’s Home. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
- Assist with daily routines such as meals, personal care, and household tasks.
- Support educational engagement and liaise with schools where needed.
- Plan and engage in recreational and leisure activities.
- Promote positive behavior and act as a role model.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of young people at all times.
- Maintain clear and accurate records, including daily logs and care plans.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment.
Requirements:
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Eligible and willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate prior to employment.
- Confident, calm, and able to manage challenging situations.
- Willing and able to work 24-hour shifts (sleep-in shifts).
Preferred:
- Enhanced DBS certificate.
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People).
- Experience in residential childcare or similar support setting.
- Full UK driving license.
