Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Carer who lives in or close to the King's Lynn and West Norfolk area to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. As a Carer, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities and personal care, while fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare and serve meals according to care plans, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or social activities.
- Assist in arranging appointments
- Maintain accurate records of client care and progress in accordance with care plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards within the living environment.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members. (essential)
- Previous experience of at least 1 year in a care home , home care or NHS setting is preferred
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
- Ability to drive is beneficial for transporting clients as needed.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- IT skills are a plus for maintaining records and communicating effectively.
