Care and Support Worker, L'Arche Manchester
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reports to: House Leader
Hours of work: Full-time or part-time.
Salary: Start rate of £12.21 per hour, rising after 12 months and a successful probation period, + sleepover allowance
Place of work: L'Arche Manchester
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time or part-time

This position does not offer sponsorship and is best suited for candidates already located in Manchester area.

Main purpose of the role:
As a Care and Support Worker, you will support people with learning disabilities living in a variety of settings, in line with agreed support and care plans, in all aspects of their everyday lives.
You will deliver practical, physical and emotional support to people with learning disabilities, whilst proactively promoting choice, independence and self-determination.
The responsibilities will be split:
- 80% Supporting people with learning disabilities with day to day life;
- 10% Using a digital system to record what you do during your shift;
- 10% Learning & Development and regular meetings with your line manager;
