Job Advert: Café Assistant / Barista – Aberdeen (Full-Time, Mon–Fri)
Location: Aberdeen, UK
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Occasional Weekends: May be required for special events
We’re on the lookout for a friendly and reliable Café Assistant/Barista to join our team at our welcoming daytime café in Aberdeen. If you love coffee, enjoy working with people, and thrive in a busy environment, this could be the perfect role for you!
About the Role:
You’ll be the face of our café – preparing great coffee, serving customers with a smile, and helping to keep everything running smoothly. This role is varied and hands-on, with opportunities to get involved in all aspects of café service and occasional event support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve barista-style coffee and other drinks
- Take customer orders and operate the till
- Assist with food preparation and plating when needed
- Keep the café clean, well-stocked, and welcoming
- Support the team during busy periods and occasional events
What We’re Looking For:
- Some previous experience in a café, coffee shop, or customer-facing role
- Confident using coffee machines and making espresso-based drinks (training can be provided)
- A positive attitude, team spirit, and strong work ethic
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
Key attention to detail, maintaining high standards in service and café areas
Table set ups for pre arranged bookings and events
- Willingness to work occasional weekends for events
