AMJ Strip Out is a rapidly expanding soft strip demolition company based in Kenilworth, England. Following significant growth over the past year, we are seeking a reliable and organised Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our office team part-time with potential to develop into a full-time role. This is a key role, supporting both the financial and operational sides of the business to help ensure our continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Bookkeeping
- Process purchase and sales invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Categorise and assign payments within QuickBooks.
- Reconcile transactions and monitor account balances.
- Track costs and update spreadsheets to support project cost analysis.
Office & Business Support
- Order skips, plant, and machinery as required for various sites.
- Manage vehicle-related admin, including maintenance scheduling, MOTs, insurance and road tax renewals.
- Keep staff training records, certification, and personal files up to date and organised.
- Maintain digital and paper-based filing systems for job-related and financial documentation.
Administrative Duties
- Manage general office communications including calls, emails, and supplier/client follow-ups.
- Order office supplies and manage inventory levels.
- Assist with HR admin such as onboarding documents and staff tracking.
- Support directors and site teams with ad hoc administrative tasks as required to aid the smooth running of the business.
Skills
- Proven experience in a similar finance/admin support role.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving attitude.
- Previous experience in the construction, demolition or related trades is advantageous, but not essential.
