As a Bank Laundry Assistant at our Westport Care Home, Stepney Green, London, you will be part of a compassionate and welcoming team. Along with the rest of the Housekeeping Team, you would ensure that the care home is always maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and is safe, comfortable, and welcoming for the people living in our care home.

- Hours: 00:00am-3:00pm (Zero hour contract)
About the role:
- To manage the laundry procedures and put through required laundry, preventing unnecessary build-up.
- To ensure that bundles of laundry are identified for the staff to load and unload into the washers and dryers.
- To be responsible for the maintenance of the laundry equipment and the daily de-fluffing of the dryers, reporting any defects to the Head of Home.
- To distribute clothes to our residents' rooms.
- To ensure the correct marking of residents' clothes.
- To keep the laundry room clean and tidy and in a hygienic condition.
- To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
- To work in co-operation with the Head of Home in maintaining an efficient laundry service for all service users.
- To manage the laundry throughout under Health and Safety best practices, paying special attention to cross-infection.
- To identify and report and areas of malfunction or damage to equipment, in accordance with the company's Maintenance reporting procedure.
- To maintain the general cleanliness of the laundry, through identified and agreed work schedules.
- To adhere to and maintain the company's policies and procedures.
