Priory Hospital Kneesworth House is looking to recruit a Bank Support Worker to join the team.
Located in Royston, Hertfordshire, within a purpose-built facility and spacious grounds, Priory Hospital Kneesworth House is a level 2 rehabilitation service, which provides a range of specialist recovery pathways, all at one site.

The hospital also provides acute and psychiatric intensive care, medium and low secure services, and bespoke therapeutic placements. Priory’s acute and PICU services aim to allow more people to be treated closer to home and we support the NHS to repatriate out-of-area patients back to local areas.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
- Assist patients with daily living activities.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients during their hospital stay.
- Help healthcare staff with basic medical tasks and ensure patient comfort.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to nursing staff promptly.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by following hospital hygiene and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and a patient-centered approach. The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team is essential. Candidates should have a basic understanding of health and safety standards, be able to follow instructions carefully, and handle sensitive situations with calm and professionalism. While formal qualifications such as a Health and Social Care certificate or equivalent are preferred, they are not always mandatory.
