We are recruiting now for an experienced room leader to join our team. You will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week across 4days (Monday - Friday), shifts patterns may vary from week to week.
Key tasks will include:
Leadership & Management
- Lead the Baby room with confidence, positivity, and clarity.
- Supervise, mentor, and support room staff, including practitioners, assistants, and students.
- Ensure compliance with EYFS, safeguarding, and all other relevant policies and procedures.
Child Development
- Plan, implement, and review engaging and age-appropriate activities.
- You will be required to track and create next steps for the children, therefore must have good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework .
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and help them develop emotionally, socially, and physically.
Parent Partnerships
- Foster open, respectful communication with parents and carers.
- Provide regular feedback on children’s progress and milestones.
- Collaborate with families to support transitions and individual needs.
Environment & Health
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised room environment.
- Carry out daily risk assessments and ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are met.
- Respond calmly and professionally to accidents or incidents, following correct procedures.
- - Attend monthly staff meetings and training when required.
Requirements:
- Current DBS check
- paediatric first aid certificate (preferred but not essential)
- Level 3 qualification in Early years childcare
