What You'll Do
No two days are the same! This role is a dynamic blend of creative artworking, hands-on production, and order fulfillment. You might start your morning preparing the day orders artworking, spend your afternoon running production of custumers orders on the laser engraver, and finish your day packaging bulk orders for dispatch to customers nationwide.
Artwork Creation & Design
- Use computer software to generate graphic and text artwork that meets customer specifications, focusing on accuracy and attention to detail
- Create artwork for personalised customer orders using CorelDRAW and CAD software (experience advantageous but training provided)
- Inspect designs for flaws and errors, ensuring each meets our high standards before production
- Work with AI tools to enhance efficiency and creativity (we're actively implementing AI workflows and welcome candidates already familiar with these technologies)
Customer Communication
- Engage regularly with customers to guarantee satisfaction with artwork
- Send proofs and incorporate feedback quickly to keep projects moving
Production & Manufacturing
- Operate a variety of machines including laser engravers, UV printers, and digital printing machines (full training provided)
- Construct products from materials like wood, acrylic, and paper, maintaining high quality standards
- Perform regular quality control checks to ensure all products meet our standards
Packaging & Shipping
- Carefully package finished products to ensure safe delivery to customers
- Prepare orders for dispatch and coordinate with shipping partners
- Maintain packaging standards that reflect our brand quality
Team Collaboration & Workflow
- Work closely with the artworking team to manage and prioritize projects efficiently
- Support during busy periods to help manage increased workloads and maintain production schedules
Who You Are
- An organizational wizard with impeccable attention to detail
- Skilled in graphic design with experience in a production environment
- Excellent at managing time, multitasking, and prioritizing workloads
- Tech-savvy and thrives in both team settings and independent projects
- Eager to learn and take on challenges in both creative and operational tasks
- Problem-solving focused with a can-do attitude and strong initiative
- Adaptable and versatile - you enjoy variety and switching between creative, production, and fulfillment tasks
- Open to new technology including AI tools (experience with AI is a bonus, but enthusiasm to learn is what matters)
- Able to commute reliably to our Hailsham location (free parking provided; public transport options are limited)
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in graphic design or artwork preparation
- Attention to detail and quality control mindset
- Ability to work with various materials and machinery (training provided)
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
- Reliable transport to BN27 4EL location
