Job title: Administration, Access and Inclusion Officer
Department: Operations
Based at: Ewood Park stadium, Blackburn, BB2 4JF. Flexibility regarding location may be required
Reports to: Head of Operations
Responsible for: Reception staff
Hours of work: 35 hours per week including home match days and any additional hours necessary for the performance of duties. This will include evening and weekend work.
Contractual status: Permanent
Job purpose: To provide support to the Board of Directors, Head of Operations and Senior Management Team on all areas of administration, Access and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all stakeholders, promoting their well-being whilst maintaining professional boundaries;
- To be the Club’s Designated Disability Liaison Officer;
- To assist the Head of Operations and administration team, along with relevant heads of departments, to ensure the Club complies with and maintains the EFL Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Code of Practice;
- Manage the Assisted Supporter Scheme register of supporters with a disability and ensure they have adequate risk assessments in place where necessary;
- To liaise with the Facilities Manager to ensure the Club complies with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 by reviewing access to facilities, services and products and identifying improvements to ensure the stadium and premises are accessible to all, providing updates to the Head of Operations;
- Assist the Head of Operations and Executive Team with administrative tasks;
- To work with the HR department to provide in-house training or arrange and facilitate training to staff on all areas of inclusion and accessibility on a frequent basis;
- Work with the Facilities Manager, fans and external agencies/authorities to complete access audits in line with EFL regulations;
- To be the Club’s Designated Supporter Liaison Officer;
- Attend seminars arranged by the football/government authorities and agencies in order to remain up to date with changes in areas of relevance;
- Manage customer relationships to build and maintain links with football authorities, football clubs, external partners and agencies in the community for access purposes;
- Manage the reception operation including staffing rotas and/or equipment;
- To manage complaints in regard to access/equality, diversity and inclusion in line with the Club’s Customer Charter;
- Assist the Head of Operations in dealing with sensitive supporter matters;
- Work closely with the Head of Operations and Marketing/PR departments to preserve and promote the #Onerovers brand;
- Assist the Head of Operations and administration team with event management;
- Work closely with the match experience team, including the Community Trust/Administration departments to maintain high standards in regard to family excellence and match day experience; and
- Any other duties as reasonably required by the Head of Operations from time to time.

Knowledge /experience required:
- Good knowledge of all Microsoft applications;
- Practical experience of understanding access and equality, diversity and inclusion in football;
- Sound knowledge of the Equality Act 2010; and
- Knowledge of football industry
Qualifications required:
- Educated to A-Level or equivalent in a relevant field
DBS check required: Yes (Enhanced)
