We have an exciting opportunity available for a Activity and Engagement Lead to join our team in Bootle.
Autism Initiatives is a registered charity providing specialist autism services, tailored to each individual. We are seeking to recruit creative, kind and committed Activity & Engagement Leads to join us at The Cedars Community Resource Centre based in Bootle, Liverpool. This Centre will provide a flexible, a support service designed to meet the diverse needs of autistic individuals and their families.
You will join a team that works in partnership with autistic people, within a supportive environment that offers a wide range of bespoke activities, resources and opportunities for social interaction and skill development. You will play an integral role in supporting successful transitions into our resource centre.
As an Activity & Engagement Lead, you will also deliver personalised support that is tailored to individual needs, that encourage community access and participation in activities of their choice. We are keen to hear from people who can lead small workshops and coach and mentor team members to provide learning opportunities for autistic people. We are interested in hearing from applicants who may have skill or interest they could share. We are also keen to hear from applicants who have interests in the following areas: Media and Photography, Art and Craft, Outdoor activities, horticulture and gardening, Cookery and life skills, Health and wellbeing.
You will have a ‘can do’ approach and be committed to supporting people in a positive way that enables people to live a fulfilled life. You will demonstrate best practice and be a role model for the team by delivering positive outcomes for the people that we support and your ability to successfully undertake the additional responsibilities of this important role.
Ideally, you will hold your Diploma Level 3 in Adult Care (RQF) or be prepared to work towards this qualification. You will possess a genuine passion for providing person centered support is key to being successful in the role of an Activity and Engagement Lead.
