Our client, a fast-growing and ambitious M&E contractor, is seeking a capable finance professional with a solid background in the construction industry to join their close-knit team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong industry knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and a growth mindset who’s looking to step into a broader role with genuine progression to senior level. You’ll receive hands-on mentoring from the Financial Director, with the chance to shape and optimise the finance function as the business continues to scale.

About You – You must have:
- 5+ years’ experience in the construction industry (any finance/operations capacity)
- Advanced Excel skills – able to confidently build dynamic spreadsheets with formulas to analyse, automate, and present data
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment without sacrificing accuracy
- A growth mindset – always seeking to raise the bar and improve
- Strong communication skills – able to build rapport with clients, chase payments, and challenge processes when necessary
Key Responsibilities (training provided where required):
- Manage cash flow, supplier payments, and credit control
- Raise sales invoices (Joblogic) and process purchase invoices (Dext)
- Complete bank and business card reconciliations
- Process payroll and pensions (Xero)
- Track and manage staff holidays, timesheets, and expenses
- Assist in monthly management accounts and WIP (Work in Progress) reporting
- Prepare payment applications and support with CIS returns
- Produce job profitability reports and ad-hoc analysis
