As an Academic Learning Mentor, you will join a skilled, friendly and caring team who work together to provide the best possible personalised support for students. Your main role will be to support individual and small groups of students with a variety of special education needs both within the classroom and one-to-one. Academic Learning Mentors will work closely with SENCo to plan and deliver interventions for students with individual needs. We are especially keen to appoint colleagues with secondary school experience and those who may have knowledge of, or a willingness to develop expertise in, the areas of literacy and SEMH and how to support young people with these needs.
There are many opportunities within the college not only for training and progression but also to become involved in wider college life.

We have an excellent programme of induction and support for newly appointed staff, and you can be assured of a warm welcome from colleagues across the school.
