We are currently looking for a Yard Assistant to join our team at Ridgway.

Ridgway Rentals is a family-owned and run Plant Hire Company and this position is based at our head office in St Martins, Shropshire – postcode SY11 3PZ
This full time role will involve the maintenance and servicing of heavy plant machinery in our workshop.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keeping the yard tidy and safe
- Parking up machinery, and noting any damages
- Carry out mechanical repairs as required
- Follow instructions as directed
- Keep accurate records as directed
- Liaising and working with outside contractors
- Aid with the safe operation of the work area
- Comply fully with company health & safety procedures
- Follow work practices and instructions as directed
- Mechanical knowledge would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given
Our Plant Hire Fleet consists of hydraulic excavators, dozers, dump trucks and other heavy plant machinery by Komatsu, JCB, Hitachi etc.
