We are looking for a permanent Yard Worker & Forklift Driver to join our Bridgend Roofing Branch.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for picking orders, loading and unloading materials and delivering exceptional customer service.

Hours:
45 hours per week to be worked Monday to Friday (7:00am - 16:30pm), and 1 in 3 Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

Duties:
- General warehouse duties and stock management
- Picking orders, loading and unloading and related paperwork
- Customer service - dealing with customers in person
- Driving forklift
- The role offers scope to develop selling skills, customer service and an understanding of materials, stock control, orders and deliveries.
Essential skills:
- Counterbalance forklift licence
- GCSE Maths (minimum grade C or a good understanding of metric and imperial measurements and basic mental arithmetic)
- Good paperwork skills
- Confident communicator
- Proven teamwork skills
- Naturally tidy and organised
- Willingness to engage with customers and provide good customer service
- Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised once trained
- Reliable, industrious, adaptable and quick to grasp new concepts
- Manual handling up to 25kg
Desirable:
Knowledge of roofing materials and their usage, an interest in the construction industry and good numeracy. Good arithmetic, preferably GCSE Maths grade C.
