Days and Hours: Initially Thursday & Friday evenings 3:25-5:30pm however, option for more hours for the right candidate.

Total Sports is a sports and education provider, who provide services to local schools and communities within the region. We are looking for a Play worker to join our team in the Haxby region of York on Thursday & Friday evenings 3:25-5:30pm during term time.
If you have experience of working with children in a play setting or other setting that involves working closely with children of Primary School age, this role could be the one for you.
Reporting directly to our regional Manager, the Play worker will be responsible for:
· Running great activities with the children before and after school within our setting which is based at a Primary School.
· Providing a safe and caring environment in line with relevant statutory guidance
· Providing children aged 4 to 11 years a range of play, learning and leisure activities
· You will help organise a daily routine that meets the emotional, social, physical and intellectual needs of the children
There are options for further hours and days at the wrap around club however, initial days are Thursday & Friday 3:25-5:30pm during term time. There is also the option to work in our holiday clubs during the holidays for the right candidate.
Skills/Experience:
Essential:
· Previous experience in leading/supervising childcare or related activities
- Be fun !
- Be a great communicator !
Desirable:
· NVQ Level 3 in Playwork/Childcare
- related childcare or education related qualification
- Willingness to learn
