We are seeking to recruit a Welfare Assistant to support the welfare officer and Heads of Year with the physical and emotional wellbeing of all pupils and staff, providing first aid and support as appropriate. As well as providing a high level of care the successful candidate will in the absence of the welfare officer oversee the day to day running of the school’s medical room, and in addition will be expected to provide some administrative and pastoral support for the heads of year.
We are seeking applications from candidates with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills who understand the responsibility of confidentiality. Candidates should have a keen eye for detail. Applicants must be able to prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet conflicting demands and deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to
- Support the welfare office in ensuring the physical and emotional wellbeing of all pupils and staff.
- Demonstrate empathy and kindness towards pupils.
- Be comfortable with administering first aid in a variety of situations.
- Work as part of a team Chichester High School is a mixed secondary school with pupils from the ages of 11-18, we are a close and supportive community working hard to ensure all our students excel.
