Welder & Metal Fabricator (MIG & TIG)
Location: Barton Hill Way, Torquay
Salary: £15.00 – £20.00 per hour (Negotiable based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00
- Friday: 07:30 – 14:00
Overtime: Available during busy periods
Job Description
This role involves detailed MIG and TIG welding on components where the finished welds are often visible to the customer. As such, a high level of attention to detail, consistency, and pride in workmanship is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high standard (practical test required during interview)
- Fabricate metal components using basic engineering drawings
- Work with a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- Operate a range of tools and equipment
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in the workshop
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a small, motivated team
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in MIG welding (essential)
- Strong TIG welding and fabrication skills
- Excellent attention to detail – your welds will be on display
- Ability to follow technical drawings accurately
- Confident using a range of workshop tools and machinery
- Strong work ethic and proactive attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow within the business
