About the Role
We are seeking a talented and creative Web Designer with proven experience in WordPress to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining visually appealing, user-friendly websites that reflect our brand and meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build responsive websites using WordPress.
- Customise themes and plugins to achieve desired functionality and design.
- Ensure websites are optimised for performance, speed, and SEO.
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to deliver engaging digital experiences.
- Maintain and update existing websites, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Stay up to date with the latest web design trends, tools, and best practices.
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Web Designer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
- Proficiency in WordPress, including theme and plugin customisation.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and website optimisation.
- Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design.
- Excellent attention to detail and creative flair.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma).
- Understanding of UX/UI design principles.
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce).
